How should I care for my Traveler 42 FX1 after use?
To prolong the life of your Traveler 42 FX1, shake off any excess water after use, allow the canopy to dry fully, then wrap the canopy folds together and secure them with the Velcro strap before storing in the

I am a LifeTek fan and have used their Traveler version for a number of years. I'm sure I'd still be using some of my earlier versions but somehow they have ended up in the homes of other family members! Mmmm!

The material is strong and it doesn't seem to move much in the wind. The canopy is wide enough to cover me and my bag while still folding down in a nice compact size.

About 8 years ago I bought an umbrella from Life Tek. The guarantee on it then was 2 years. It's still in fine shape and operation today! Looks very sturdy, but havent been able to test it in wind yet. Doesnt have a final click when opening to keep it open, not sure if that is a feature of wind defense or not

It is strong, compact, and easy to carry. It is exactly what I hope it would be. The internal metal frame is several times stronger than many common umbrellas, making it very difficult to blow inside out in strong wind. I am very pleased with my new umbrella!

I needed a replacement for a15 year old Eddie Bauer umbrella that had recently broken a rib. I found the lifetek after doing a web search. Although I haven’t had the need to use it yet I’m very impressed with quality of material and construction. I expect to get a long service life from this product.

I expected the umbrella to be much lighter in weight since it was advertised as a travel umbrella. However after examining it, I found it probably has to be this weight to be windproof. The wind always bothers me when using a flimsy umbrella, so overall I am pleased. It opens and closes very easily. Probably the sturdiest umbrella I have used.

I was motivated to buy this particular umbrella because of its two year warranty. I was tired of good looking but cheap umbrellas that broke when the wind caused it to blow out.
The real test is how it will function a year or two from now.I bought a Knirps (German) umbrella a number of years ago. That one broke after a few uses. Had it fixed, but it promptly broke again. Better to stick to products that can be serviced in the US.
I use it daily for my walk in the Sun.The fact that it cannot be flipped around and is able to resist high winds makes it truly brilliant.
