LifeTek Umbrellas are covered by a two-year replacement guarantee against defects in our premium materials and quality workmanship. For eligibility and additional information, please review our Guarantee policy page.

LifeTek Inc. is the sole authorized retailer of LifeTek branded products and sells products directly to customers from our and LifeTek Amazon Store Front. Only products purchased directly by the customer from these authorized sites are eligible for the guarantee. The guarantee does not apply to products purchased from any third-party re-seller and is valid for U.S. addresses only.

If your umbrella is still within the two-year guarantee period, please contact LifeTek Customer Service.  Please include your original LifeTek or Amazon order number, a brief description of the issue, and your current delivery address in your message.

First, we are very sorry that you experienced a quality issue with your LifeTek umbrella. If within the initial 30-day period from the time you received your Amazon order, Amazon policy requires that you contact Amazon Customer Service to request a replacement or refund. For all other situations, please contact LifeTek Customer Service and we will be happy to assist you.


Unfortunately, Amazon does not provide us with access to their order management or billing systems and requires that customers directly contact their Customer Service Department with any questions or change requests. Unfortunately, we are not able to make changes to orders once placed. If you would like to cancel an existing order, please contact LifeTek Customer Service and we will do our best to complete your request. If the order has already been transmitted to our fulfillment center, order cancellation is not possible.


LifeTek umbrellas are designed and engineered in the U.S. and manufactured in China. Each umbrella is made from premium materials, including 210T micro-weave fabric with Teflon protective coating for maximum strength and water repellency. In addition, LifeTek umbrellas come with a two-year replacement guarantee against defects in our premium materials and workmanship.

Unfortunately, we do not offer customization or screen-printing services at this time. 

Although designed for rain protection and not sold as a means to protect against sun exposure, our canopy fabrics were tested and certified according to the American Standard AATCC 183 by an independent laboratory. The UV Protection Factor (UPF) results ranged by fabric color between UPF45 to UPF50+. LifeTek’s black, blue, and red fabric colors received a UPF rating of UPF 50+, and our green fabric received a UPF rating of UPF 45.

All LifeTek travel umbrellas use an auto open/close mechanism. The umbrella fully deploys with a simple push of the button. A second button push collapses the umbrella canopy. To fully close the umbrella, simply compress both ends together until the umbrella locks into the fully locked position.

LifeTek's Kingston FX1 and New Yorker FX1 models feature an auto-open mechanism. Simply push the button, and the canopy will deploy. To close the umbrella, manually retract the canopy until the canopy locking mechanism clicks into the fully-locked position.

LifeTek umbrellas do not use a locking (click) mechanism to hold the canopy into the open position. The canopy is designed to remain open using tension from the internal, auto-open spring system. Locking (click) mechanisms that secure the canopy in the open position are typically only used with "manual open” umbrellas since they do not contain a spring/tension system.


Though it’s difficult to know exactly why the online registration process did not work, it is often caused from a pop-up blocker or a security setting that prevents the registration form from loading properly. If you’re not able to access/submit the online registration form, we’ll be happy to complete the registration process for you. Please contact LifeTek Customer Service and include your name, address, and original or order number in your message.

Once you complete the on-line registration process, a "pop-up" confirmation message will appear. If you do not see this message, it was likely blocked from a "pop-up" blocker or security setting. We will also send a confirmation email to the email address included on your registration form. Please be sure to check your spam folder.

If you purchased your umbrella on the website, your umbrella is automatically registered. If you purchased from, please complete the on-line registration process to ensure your umbrella is covered by our replacement guarantee.


If you are not 100% satisfied with your LifeTek umbrella, please contact our Customer Service Team within 30 days of purchase to receive a Return Processing Number (RPN) before returning the umbrella. This will help to expedite the process and ensure the credit is applied to your original form of payment. For additional information, please review the instructions located on our Returns page.

Please allow 24-48 hours for your order to be shipped. Once shipped, typical carrier transit times are 4-7 business days for standard service and 2-4 business days for expedited service.

Unfortunately, LifeTek umbrellas are only sold via the and U.S. websites and are not currently available to ship to non-U.S. locations.
